Indian cricketer to take part in Bigg Boss 12?

Bigg Boss Season 12 is scheduled to start from September 16 and the show is based on Dutch series Big Brother. Bollywood actor Salman Khan will host the event for the ninth instance and fourth time in a row. The show will be aired on Colors TV. The series generate massive Total Rating Points (TRP) mostly due to the controversy surrounding various issues inside the house.

A number of eminent personalities have graced their presence in the event and the elimination rounds take place every week. Shilpa Shinde, a popular TV actress, won the show last time around after beating Hina Khan, another heroine, after public voting. Meanwhile, it has been learned that Indian cricketer S Sreesanth is set to take part in this year’s show as per reports in www.rvcj.com.

Sreesanth’s topsy-turvy career  

When the fast-bowler forayed into international cricket back in October 2005 during Sri Lanka’s tour of India, he was touted as a bright prospect of international cricket, but the 2013 spot-fixing scandal in the Indian Premier League (IPL) turned his career around upside down. He played for the Rajasthan Royals and was arrested along with Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila.

On September 2013, he was slapped with a life ban by the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI)- the world’s richest cricket board. Thereafter, he has made several attempts to make a comeback to competitive cricket, but his efforts have gone in vain. Nevertheless, the tainted cricketer didn’t drop the gun and has got himself a chiseled body by working out in the gymnasium.

Back in 2017, Sreesanth made his debut in Bollywood with Zareen Khan- starrer ‘Aksar 2’, in which he played the role of a lawyer. He also has tried his hand in politics when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2016 and fought the state elections from Thiruvananthapuram, but lost to a Congress candidate. Meanwhile, the upcoming edition of the Bigg Boss will have 21 contestants.
