IPL 2018: MS Dhoni impressed with young Indian pacers in this season

The eleventh season has come to an end with CSK and SRH all set to fight for the trophy in the big final. IPL has always been a great platform for youngsters and this season is no different. In almost every match, a young Indian rose to the occasion and grabbed all the limelight despite the presence of many International cricketers. Not just batsmen, this IPL has witnessed some interesting young Indian fast bowlers.

Shivam Mavi, Prasidh Krishna from KKR, Deepak Chahar from CSK, Ankit Rajpoot from Punjab are some of the youngsters who have impressed the cricket fraternity with their wonderful bowling. Other than these youngsters, Siddharth Kaul has been a sensation for SRH. His impeccable bowling earned himself a place in the squad for the T20s against England.

Dhoni impressed with the raw pace of the Indian youngsters:

When asked about his thoughts on youngsters performing in the IPL, the Chennai Super Kings’ commander MS Dhoni on Saturday said that IPL 2018 has been an emerge season for youthful Indian quick bowlers. He opined that their consistent performance throughout the season is the greatest positive for Indian cricket. Speaking to media in the press conference ahead of their big clash against SRH for the IPL trophy, MS Dhoni seemed to be impressed with the way the young quickies have performed.

“This season has been slightly different, we have seen a lot of Indian fast bowlers coming and performing consistently. They have executed very well. So their performance has been a big positive for Indian cricket. This time around our fast bowlers have bowled with pace and executed their skills against top batters with great success. The kind of exposure they have got bodes well for the future of India cricket,” the CSK skipper said.

The stage is all set for the mega clash between CSK and SRH in the final. CSK and SRH have been the best teams in the season. Dominating all the other teams, both CSK and SRH have managed to be at the top of the table. The grand finale would be an interesting game as both the teams seem to be in great form.
