33 runs with the ball in two overs and 8 runs with the bat – This was RR all-rounder Stuart Binny’s performance last night against the dominant Chennai Super Kings. Ajinkya Rahane surprised everyone by picking Binny in the XI ahead of Dhawal Kulkarni. However, the pick never seemed a good one for RR and the Twitterati.

Coming to the game, Rajasthan skipper Ajinkya Rahane was the one who won the toss and elected to bowl first. He brought in Heinrich Klaasen and Stuart Binny in the XI. CSK opening duo Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu gave 50-run opening stand before the latter departed. Watson along with Raina continued the blitz but the latter departed after scoring a quickfire 46.

In came Dhoni, who failed to make an impact with the bat, as he managed to score just five runs. However, CSK posted a dominating total of 204/5 in 20 overs, thanks to Shane Watson and Suresh Raina, who batted in a brilliant way. The chase was never going to be an easy task for the comeback side Rajasthan Royals.

Coming to the chase, RR skipper Ajinkya Rahane opened the innings with the new-comer, Heinrich Klaasen, though the move was failed. Ben Stokes batted for a while to add 45 runs on the board. But, Stuart Binny yet again disappointed by just scoring 8 runs. Some important runs by the lower order would have helped RR in improving their net run rate.

After the defeat, Rajasthan Royals fans brutally trolled the all-rounder Stuart Binny, who was picked in the XI in place of Dhawal Kulkarni. Twitterati didn’t like his performance with both bat and ball and went on lash out at him for his poor performance.
