The left-arm pacer from Saurashtra is one of the few bowlers who has the ability to make the ball talk at the start and the death as well. Jaydev Unadkat is a consistent performer in Ranji Trophy, and a couple of months ago he became the second bowler to take 200 wickets for his domestic side. He was one of the architects of Supergiants’ run to the finals in IPL 2017 where he used his variations to outfox the opposition batsmen with his bag of tricks. In that season Unadkat picked up 24 wickets in 12 matches at an economy rate of 7.03.

A mega-auction happened before the 11th season of IPL, and Unadkat with his gallantry efforts in the previous edition was one of the major attractions. He was bagged by the Rajasthan franchise for a whopping Rs 11.5 crores but failed to repeat his heroics with 11 wickets in 15 games.

The speedster was released after a poor season but in the IPL 2019 auction, Rajasthan again snapped him for Rs 8.4 crores after a long tussle with the Chennai franchise. Till now Unadkat has failed to repay the faith shown on him, as he has scalped just 10 wickets in 11 games and has been leaking runs at an economy of 10.5.
