Tim Seifert was in the talks recently for his sensational hitting in T20 cricket. The 26-year-old Kiwi is, naturally, an aggressive opening batsman. He made his T20 international debut in 2019 and has scored 695 runs in 35 T20Is for New Zealand.

Seifert plays for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League. Following his convincing performances for TKR, he was bought by the sister franchise, the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. He joined the Riders last season but has not made his IPL debut yet because of the big overseas names in their squad already present.

KKR already have an Indian wicket-keeping backup option in Sheldon Jackson and Seifert is unlikely to get a chance in the XI as a pure batsman. Thus, he can prove to be a game-changer for a franchise needing an overseas batsman.
