The English wicketkeeper-batsman is a part of the Delhi Capitals currently. Sam Billings has also been a part of England’s limited-overs squad for a long time now. Despite being a regular part of the squad, he has not been able to cement his spot because of the strong English side.

In the IPL he made his debut in 2016 for Delhi and scored fifty on debut. He was a part of the Capitals for two seasons, before, moving to Chennai in 2018. He produced few good knocks there but could not grab the limelight because of CSK’s already star-studded squad. He was picked by his original franchise Delhi again this year after he went unsold in the first round of the auction.

Billings has played 187 T20 matches in all and has scored more than 3500 runs. The Capitals usually depend more on their Indian core of players to win their matches. As a result, their four foreign players are also usually the same.

With captain Rishabh Pant taking the keeping responsibilities, Billings is unlikely to get an opportunity in the playing XI. Thus, he can be traded to RR or PBKS where he can provide stability to the middle-order.
