Shardul Thakur was one of the architects of India’s victory against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. Along with his bowling, he comes extremely handy with the bat down the order as well. Providing much-needed breakthroughs, Thakur has cemented his place in the Chennai Super Kings side and the national side as well.

Chiming in the middle overs and then doing the job right at the death, one has witnessed the rise of Thakur under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He also put up a good show with the ball during the white-ball series against England at home. He has been a key player for CSK but struggled to perform in the first leg of the IPL. In seven games, he scalped just 5 wickets and also proved quite expensive.

But now, things can pretty much change in the UAE. Shardul Thakur is currently engaged with the Indian team for the five-match Test series against England. In the series, he has looked quite in a decent form and has made valuable contributions to the team with both the bat and the ball. The CSK fans will be looking forward to seeing the momentum of Shardul continuing in the remainder of the IPL.
