Ishan Kishan was the top run-getter for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. He scored 516 runs at an average of 57.33. The keeper-batter has an attacking approach to his game that makes his batting a treat for the cricket on-lookers. Owing to his fearless approach, he scored runs at a healthy strike rate in the previous edition of the tournament.
The defending champions were seen struggling in the initial games of this season as the middle order of the side did not make enough contributions. Ishan Kishan also looked quite uncomfortable with the bat. He scored just 73 runs with a strike rate of 82.95 from the five matches he played in the first half so far.
His lean patch with the willow was a worry for the Mumbai Indians. However, Kishan possesses the ability to tear apart any opposition. He will be determined to replicate his performances for the team in the remainder of IPL 2021. As the season resumes, the side will pin their hopes on the batter to hold the middle order of the team and he is a player who will be keen to shift the pendulum in his favor.

Shubman Gill has marched the drum of his skills for the Kolkata Knight Riders since 2018. His stint with the side also paved his way to the Test side of India. He made valuable contributions whilst opening the innings alongside Rohit Sharma Down Under. He hit an impressive 91 in the final Test match at Gabba and laid a strong foundation for the team.
Post that, the batter hasn’t been in very good form. He underperformed in the first leg of the IPL for KKR as he averaged just 18.85 in seven matches and scored 132 runs at a strike rate of 117.85. Over the last few years, he has been one of the pillars of the batting line-up of the team.

However, he has now recovered and will aim to get back in action by making a lasting impact in the second leg for his team. Kolkata Knight Riders have won two games from the seven that they have played in the first half. Gill’s contribution at the top order will be crucial for the team. He will strive hard to switch the gears and perform for KKR in the remainder of the IPL.
