In white-ball cricket, Yuzvendra Chahal has been the first-choice spinner of the Indian team. For the Royal Challengers Bangalore, he has been the trusted man of skipper Virat Kohli. The captain has turned to Chahal every time the team was in desperate need of a wicket. Over the years, he has helped RCB win a lot of matches but looked a tad bit off-color this season.

In the first match of the season, Chahal conceded 41 runs in his spell against the Mumbai Indians. In the seven matches so far, the spinner has scalped only four wickets and has conceded 190 runs at an economy rate of 8.26. However, in the previous edition of the IPL, Chahal was the leading wicket-taker for RCB and was amongst the top five wicket-takers of the season.

With the plethora of experience the leg spinner has under his belts, one cannot write him off. The pitches at the UAE are expected to assist the spinners. Chahal has a good record in the UAE and will look forward to making a strong comeback. He can probably be one of those players who will aim to change the scripts.
