Sunrisers Hyderabad will be up against Delhi Capitals in the 33rd fixture of the Indian Premier League 2021. There are a lot of differences between these two franchises in context with their current standings on the IPL points table. While DC are among the top slots, SRH are languishing at the bottom of the points table in IPL 2021. SRH underwent a surprising change midway in the Indian leg of IPL 2021 when they removed David Warner from captaincy.

Not only the able leader and ace batsman was removed from captaincy, but he was also out of SRH XI too. The charge of captaincy went from Warner to the shoulders of Kane Williamson. In the same line, former English batsman Mark Butcher feels that Warner will yet again not find a place in SRH’s XI against Delhi Capitals on September 22.

He believed that Jason Roy will get a nod ahead of Warner as Jonny Bairstow has already pulled out of the remaining phase of IPL 2021. Bucher explained that Roy has been in terrific form of late and flaunted class in England’s white-ball series. In this case, Roy will be hungry to perform for his franchise.

Jason Roy will get a nod over David Warner, believes Mark Butcher

“Sunrisers Hyderabad have had some glory years with that combination of Tom Moody and Warner at the top of the innings with Warner as captain. Your heart thinks nostalgically about what that pairing was able to do and how they got along,” said Butcher on Cricket.com’s ‘Man vs Machine.’

“Jason Roy was looking in terrific form in the backend of England’s white-ball series over in the UK. He’s going to be very hungry. At the moment, Roy has the edge right now over someone like Warner. So, that’s the way I would go in with that one,” he added.

The decision of removing Warner turned as shocking as he has led SRH to an IPL victory in 2016 and stands to be the only player in IPL history to have won the Orange cap thrice owing to his sheer batting class.
