IPL 2022: 3 Players to avoid in fantasy teams for RR vs RCB game

Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers will play Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022 on Friday. It will be the third game between both teams this season. Both RCB and RR have won one game each. The winner of this match will face Gujarat Titans in the final. RR lost the Qualifier 1 match against GT and has a second chance to make it to the final for the first time since 2008.

RCB, on the other hand, defeated Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator match by 14 runs after putting a total of 207 runs on the board. After the trio of Du Plessis, Kohli, and Maxwell failed to make a decent contribution, Rajat Patidar, an uncapped player brought in as a replacement, rose to the occasion for RCB. He made 112* runs off 54 deliveries and won the “Player of the Match” award. Josh Hazlewood picked 3 wickets, however, he was a little expensive as he gave away 43 runs in 4 overs. Harshal Patel was in the best of his form as he picked the wicket of Marcus Stoinis and managed to keep his economy under 7.

1. Mahipal Lomror

Mahipal Lomror is not batting in any fixed position. He made 42 runs off 27 deliveries against Chennai Super Kings, which was only his second game of the season. In the previous match, he batted in the number five position. However, he might not get to bat in this position in this match. He has not got an opportunity to bat in 2 of the last 4 matches. Also, he has gone past a score of 20 runs in an innings only once this season.

2. Shahbaz Ahmed

Shahbaz Ahmed is also in a similar situation to that of Lomror. He has not received an opportunity to bat in the last 2 matches and has failed to pick a wicket as well. He bowled 4 overs in the last game against LSG and gave away 35 runs. Shahbaz has picked 2 wickets in the last 5 matches for RCB. In the last 10 matches, he has picked more than 2 wickets in an innings only once. He is the fifth bowler for RCB and has not been in great form recently. He is unlikely to be rested for this match but you can certainly avoid him in your fantasy team.

3. Riyan Parag

Four out of the ten teams showed interest in Riyan Parag during the mega auction. RR had to shell out INR 3.8 crores to have his services. He has been a part of RR since 2019 and this is the first season where he has played all the matches. In 15 matches this season, Riyan has scored a mere 168 runs at an average of 16.80 and has picked one wicket. In the last game against RCB, he made 56 runs off 31 deliveries and won the “Player of the Match” award. Since that game, he has not scored more than 20 runs in an innings despite getting a chance to bat in all the last 7 matches.
