Two weeks of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have already passed and we have seen some teams excelling this season as well as ordinary performances from a few of them. <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>IPL 2022</strong></a> is becoming super hit match after match. The competition in the toughest cricket league in the world has reached new heights.

Historically the most successful IPL teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) have had a rocky start to the competition. Both teams have lost all their matches so far in IPL 2022. On the other hand, two new entrants, Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have impressed one and all. While Lucknow has won three out of their four matches, Gujarat is still undefeated.

The second week of IPL 2022 ended with the game between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans on April 8 (Friday). As we enter another exciting week, franchises might alter their playing XI to get the desired results. Some of the players who were benched could turn out to be the trump cards for the franchises. Hopefully, we will see some of the players, who warmed the benches, making it to the playing XI. Let’s decode-

However, he had a dismal outing on his IPL debut, scoring just three runs off eight balls, before Umesh Yadav got the better of him. With CSK struggling to get back to the winning track, Conway might get some game time in the coming week.

The Afghan opener joined Gujarat Titans as a replacement for <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-jason-roy-opts-out-of-tournament-citing-bio-bubble-fatigue/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Jason Roy</strong></a>. Gurbaz is a reliable wicket-keeper batter who can slog the cricket ball well. Although Gujarat has done exceedingly well so far this season, Matthew Wade&#8217;s dismal form remains a concern for them. The veteran Australian cricketer has tons of experience under his belt but has failed to live up to the expectations.

With Wade struggling for runs, Rahmanullah could be a valuable addition to the playing XI. The 20-year-old has played some good knocks in the Pakistan Super League. He also has scored 534 runs in 20 T20Is for Afghanistan. He boasts a strike rate of 137.63 and can add firepower to Gujarat&#8217;s top order.

The Andhra Pradesh batter is yet to play a game in IPL 2022. Delhi Capitals acquired the service of Bharat at the mega IPL auction in February. Besides being a handy wicket-keeper, Bharat is a reliable middle-order batter too. He played some amazing cameos for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021. He can be a nice addition to Delhi&#8217;s playing XI, who have lost their last two fixtures.

So far, Bharat has featured in eight IPL games, scoring 191 runs at a good average of 38.2, including a classy 78. With significant domestic experience under his belt, he could turn out to be a game-changer for Rishabh Pant and Co.

The U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull was signed by the Delhi Capitals for IPL 2022. Yash led the India U19 team to the World Cup victory in 2022. A sound middle-order batter, Yash has all the gears that a perfect batter should have. The youngster has been in superlative form in recent times.

After an impressive U-19 World Cup campaign, Yash began his First-Class career with a bang. In his Ranji debut, he registered centuries in both innings. He was spotted by the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-3-changes-delhi-capitals-should-make-to-get-back-to-winning-ways/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Delhi Capitals</strong></a> scouts and was in the DC academy for one year, where he honed his skills.

As Delhi struggles to find the right combination in their batting, Dhull could be an exciting option. If given freedom, Yash can turn the game on its head.

The Saurashtra-born cricketer looked great behind the wickets for KKR effecting some good stumpings and picking some good catches in the two matches he played. However, Sheldon was dropped after he failed to contribute with the bat.

Sheldon has been around for a while and has significant experience under his belt. The 35-year-old cricketer has played 67 T20 games, scoring over 1500 runs at a healthy strike rate of 120.73. KKR had roped the 37-year-old all-rounder for his ability to contribute to all the departments. Nabi could be included in the mix and hopefully, we will see him playing for the purple and gold in 2022. He could change the dynamics of the squad if KKR add him to their playing XI.

Mahipal Lomror is a dependable batting all-rounder from Rajasthan. An aggressive cricketer, the southpaw likes to play his shots. We have seen a lit bit of what Mahipal can do when he played for the Rajasthan Royals. Although still young, Mahipal can take on any bowling attack. <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-csk-fans-come-up-with-special-banner-for-faf-du-plessis-in-kkr-vs-rcb-game/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Faf du Plessis</strong></a> and Co. can use Lomror as a floater in their batting lineup.

Lomror was a part of India’s squad for the 2016 U19 World Cup. If he can be nurtured with care then we can see a match-winner in him in the shortest format. Alongside his batting, he is a reliable bowler too. He can be handy for RCB as he can pick wickets with his big stock of variations.

The young all-rounder from Maharashtra, Rajvardhan Hangargekar was first seen in the 2022 U19 World Cup where he impressed everyone with his all-round abilities. He is mostly known for his skills as a fast bowler but can also play the long handle.

In the absence of <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-injured-csk-all-rounder-deepak-chahar-resumes-net-practice/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Deepak Chahar</strong></a>, Hangargekar is probably the best option they have to play in the playing XI. Hopefully, we will see him executing match-winning performances in 2022 for CSK. With the Super Kings yet to taste success in IPL 2022, they might use the exuberance of Hangargekar in their next playing XI.

The left-arm pacer from South Africa, Marco Jansen is the newest fast bowling sensation. The tall and lanky fast bowler made his IPL debut even before he played international cricket for South Africa. Jansen was also very impressive when India toured South Africa recently. The left-arm pacer can swing the ball which makes him a good contender to bowl in the power plays.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have had an ordinary season in 2022, losing both their opening games. Hence, they are likely to make a few changes in upcoming games. Given that Hyderabad has struggled to pick wickets in the powerplay overs, Jansen could be a handy option for <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-srh-lodge-protest-against-third-umpires-decision-over-kane-williamsons-dismissal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Kane Williamson</strong></a>. <p>Mahipal Lomror is a dependable batting all-rounder from Rajasthan. An aggressive cricketer, the southpaw likes to play his shots. We have seen a lit bit of what Mahipal can do when he played for the Rajasthan Royals. The competition in the toughest cricket league in the world has reached new heights.</p>
<p>Historically the most successful IPL teams, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) have had a rocky start to the competition. Both teams have lost all their matches so far in IPL 2022. On the other hand, two new entrants, Gujarat Titans (GT) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have impressed one and all. While Lucknow has won three out of their four matches, Gujarat is still undefeated.</p>
<p>The second week of IPL 2022 ended with the game between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans on April 8 (Friday). As we enter another exciting week, franchises might alter their playing XI to get the desired results. Some of the players who were benched could turn out to be the trump cards for the franchises. Hopefully, we will see some of the players, who warmed the benches, making it to the playing XI. Let’s decode-</p>

<p>The Kiwi opener opened the innings alongside Ruturaj Gaikwad in the season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, he had a dismal outing on his IPL debut, scoring just three runs off eight balls, before Umesh Yadav got the better of him. Since then, Conway has warmed the benches for CSK. <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/i-didnt-realize-how-good-a-player-moeen-ali-is-until-he-joined-csk-michael-hussey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Moeen Ali</strong></a>, who was one of the four cricketers retained by Chennai, replaced him in the playing XI.</p>

With CSK struggling to get back to the winning track, Conway might get some game time in the coming week.</p>

<p>The Afghan opener joined Gujarat Titans as a replacement for <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-jason-roy-opts-out-of-tournament-citing-bio-bubble-fatigue/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Jason Roy</strong></a>. Gurbaz is a reliable wicket-keeper batter who can slog the cricket ball well. Although Gujarat has done exceedingly well so far this season, Matthew Wade&#8217;s dismal form remains a concern for them. The veteran Australian cricketer has tons of experience under his belt but has failed to live up to the expectations.</p>
<p>With Wade struggling for runs, Rahmanullah could be a valuable addition to the playing XI. The 20-year-old has played some good knocks in the Pakistan Super League. He also has scored 534 runs in 20 T20Is for Afghanistan. He boasts a strike rate of 137.63 and can add firepower to Gujarat&#8217;s top order.</p>

<p>The Andhra Pradesh batter is yet to play a game in IPL 2022. Delhi Capitals acquired the service of Bharat at the mega IPL auction in February. Besides being a handy wicket-keeper, Bharat is a reliable middle-order batter too. He played some amazing cameos for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021. He can be a nice addition to Delhi&#8217;s playing XI, who have lost their last two fixtures.</p>
<p>So far, Bharat has featured in eight IPL games, scoring 191 runs at a good average of 38.2, including a classy 78. With significant domestic experience under his belt, he could turn out to be a game-changer for Rishabh Pant and Co.</p>

<p>The U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull was signed by the Delhi Capitals for IPL 2022. Yash led the India U19 team to the World Cup victory in 2022. A sound middle-order batter, Yash has all the gears that a perfect batter should have. The youngster has been in superlative form in recent times.</p>
<p>After an impressive U-19 World Cup campaign, Yash began his First-Class career with a bang. In his Ranji debut, he registered centuries in both innings. He was spotted by the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2022-3-changes-delhi-capitals-should-make-to-get-back-to-winning-ways/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Delhi Capitals</strong></a> scouts and was in the DC academy for one year, where he honed his skills.</p>

The Saurashtra-born cricketer looked great behind the wickets for KKR effecting some good stumpings and picking some good catches in the two matches he played. However, Sheldon was dropped after he failed to contribute with the bat.</p>
