Ahead of this season, Abhishek Sharma was not able to convert his starts into a big inning and often displayed his skills in bits and pieces. With knowledge of his skills, multiple franchises bid for him, but it was the Sunrisers who bought him back for INR 6.25 crore.

The southpaw started the season with nine off 19 balls and had an average outing with 13 off 11 balls in the subsequent match. However, his best knock of 75 off 50 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) helped him to get the momentum for himself and the team as well.

Thereafter, he kept delivering hefty knocks in the tournament which helped SRH get off to terrific starts and win the matches. In 14 matches, Sharma amassed 426 runs at a strike rate of 133.12. Certainly, he did justice to his talent this season.
