This season was no exception as well, as the addition of two new teams helped the larger group of players to gain an opportunity to rub shoulders with the talented T20 cricketers.

With the T20 World Cup scheduled later in the year, the youngsters and experienced uncapped players were impressive putting their best foot forward to display their skills and win matches for the team. This list covers most of the uncapped Indian players as well as overseas, who were impressive enough to produce striking performances for their respective teams. In this pursuit, a few of them earned a national call-up as well.

One of the finest batters in the last few editions of the IPL, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/feel-for-him-twitter-disappointed-with-rahul-tripathi-not-getting-a-chance-in-indias-t20i-squad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rahul Tripathi</a> will be the opener and leader of this team. After doing well for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the last edition, Tripathi was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the 2022 season for a whopping amount of INR 8.5 crore.

Starting the season with a duck, the 31-year-old returned with quickfire knocks of 44 and 39, which further enhanced his confidence. Ahead of this season, Abhishek Sharma was not able to convert his starts into a big inning and often displayed his skills in bits and pieces. With knowledge of his skills, multiple franchises bid for him, but it was the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/srh-sunrisers-hyderabad/">Sunrisers</a> who bought him back for INR 6.25 crore.

The southpaw started the season with nine off 19 balls and had an average outing with 13 off 11 balls in the subsequent match. However, his best knock of 75 off 50 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) helped him to get the momentum for himself and the team as well.

Thereafter, he kept delivering hefty knocks in the tournament which helped SRH get off to terrific starts and win the matches. In 14 matches, Sharma amassed 426 runs at a strike rate of 133.12. Certainly, he did justice to his talent this season.

The 28-year-old stabilized the innings and accelerated the run rate and displayed maturity as the season progressed. It was a whirlwind knock of 112* off 54 balls in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), which left a terrific impact to take the team to the next stage.

In Qualifier 2, Patidar was the top scorer for the team with 58 off 42 balls and ended the tournament on a high. In eight innings, the stylish batter garnered a total of 333 runs.

Dewald Brevis came with a reputation as a solid batter and useful bowler, after his impressive performance for South Africa in the U19 World Cup. As a young player, his confidence was there for everyone to see, as he hit a quickfire 29 in his first fixture for <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/mi-mumbai-indians/">Mumbai Indians</a> (MI) against KKR. In a terrific knock of 49 off 25 balls game against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Brevis also hit 28 runs in a single over off Rahul Chahar.

He followed it up with a knock of 31 off 13 balls against Super Giants, albeit in a losing cause. After two single-digit knocks, he was brought into the Playing XI in the last league match against Delhi Capitals (DC) and hit 37 off 33 balls, which displayed his composure and talent in crunch moments.

In seven matches, the young gun garnered 161 runs at a strike rate of 142.48. With the ball, he delivered a single over and took a wicket. Certainly, he will be one of the overseas players to watch out for in the tournament in the years to come.

Rinku Singh was one of the consistent run-scorers for the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/kkr-kolkata-knight-riders/">KKR</a> team in the second half of the season. His contribution often helped the team in stitching the partnerships, which left an impact on the outcome of the match.

Rinku&#8217;s first notable contribution, an unbeaten 42, came against the Royals which paved the way for the team to win the match and stay alive in the tournament. Although he was dismissed for single-digit scores in a couple of matches, the team management trusted his ability to win matches for the team. In the team&#8217;s last league match against Lucknow Super Giants, Rinku was terrific with his hitting capabilities scoring 40 off 15 balls, comprising two fours and four sixes which brought the team close to winning the game.

Going forward in the next season, the management has given a hint on making Rinku a regular number six for the team. It will be interesting to see how the left-handed batter from UP can make it big in the IPL.

The wicket-keeper batter Jitesh Sharma was picked up by <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/punjab-kings/">PBKS</a> for his six-hitting capabilities. In the 2021 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Sharma had hit the most sixes in the tournament and that worked in his favor in the mega auction.

Sharma came in as a replacement for out-of-form Shahrukh Khan in the middle order. With a lot of confidence, he started churning out runs in the death overs, which helped the team to get crucial runs in the final overs and get a much-needed win as well.

His performance of 44 off 24 balls came against the Capitals, wherein he emerged as the top scorer of the team and displayed his wide range of shots. In total, Sharma garnered 234 runs at a strike rate of 163.64 and will be the wicket-keeper of this team.

Deepak Chahar&#8217;s injury was a huge blow to the CSK team in the first half of the tournament. The replacement needed to be a cunning bowler with an ability to swing the new ball and consistently pick wickets. For this job, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/stop-looking-at-me-and-bowl-csk-throwdown-specialist-reveals-first-meeting-with-ms-dhoni/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MS Dhoni</a> choose the left-arm pacer, Mukesh Choudhary, who had a limited amount of experience in domestic cricket for Maharashtra.

In the initial matches, Choudhary went for plenty and didn&#8217;t take enough wickets as well. But he received backing from the captain and in the game against Mumbai Indians, he finished with figures of 3/19 in three overs to help the team in winning the game against their arch-rivals.

In a game against Sunrisers, he picked four wickets, which was his best performance this season. In the last three games, he could pick only three wickets but returned as the joint-leading wicket-taker for the CSK team. Chaudhary scalped 16 wickets at an economy of 9.32.

Mohsin Khan, the left-arm pacer was brought into the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/lucknow-super-giants/">Super Giants</a> team due to the injury issues of Avesh Khan. He finished with figures of 0/18 in his first fixture, and then followed it up with figures of 3/24 against the Kings.

His best performance this season came against the Capitals where he picked up four wickets and gave away only 16 runs in four overs, which helped the team to win by a close margin. In nine matches, he picked up a total of 14 wickets at an economy of 5.97.

In the Eliminator fixture against RCB, Khan was the most successful bowler for the team with a single wicket and an economy of 6.25. In this pursuit, Khan picked up an important wicket of the opposition captain Faf du Plessis. With his variations and bounce, the left-arm pacer will look to do well in the next season as well.

It was due to his impressive performance in the previous edition and the prospect as well. Despite getting hammered in the initial few matches, SRH backed him to the hilt and the man delivered.

Malik made a terrific comeback with the figures of 4/28 against PBKS, wherein he took three wickets in a single over. With the proper combination of pace and accuracy, Malik was breathing fire and gradually turning to be a matchwinner for the SRH team. His best performances in the season witnessed him taking five wickets by giving only 25 runs against Titans in four overs which was an absolute delight for cricket fans.

Although his form dropped in most of the second half, he picked up a total of 10 wickets in his last three appearances. As a result, he earned a national call-up for the South Africa T20 series as well. In 14 matches, he picked up a total of 22 wickets at an economy of 9.03.

Deepak Chahar’s injury was a huge blow to the CSK team in the first half of the tournament. The replacement needed to be a cunning bowler with an ability to swing the new ball and consistently pick wickets. Mohsin Khan, the left-arm pacer was brought into the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/lucknow-super-giants/">Super Giants</a> team due to the injury issues of Avesh Khan. This season was no exception as well, as the addition of two new teams helped the larger group of players to gain an opportunity to rub shoulders with the talented T20 cricketers.
With the T20 World Cup scheduled later in the year, the youngsters and experienced uncapped players were impressive putting their best foot forward to display their skills and win matches for the team. This list covers most of the uncapped Indian players as well as overseas, who were impressive enough to produce striking performances for their respective teams. In this pursuit, a few of them earned a national call-up as well.

One of the finest batters in the last few editions of the IPL, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/feel-for-him-twitter-disappointed-with-rahul-tripathi-not-getting-a-chance-in-indias-t20i-squad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rahul Tripathi</a> will be the opener and leader of this team. After doing well for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the last edition, Tripathi was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the 2022 season for a whopping amount of INR 8.5 crore.
Starting the season with a duck, the 31-year-old returned with quickfire knocks of 44 and 39, which further enhanced his confidence. He was named &#8216;Player of the Match&#8217; for his whirlwind knock of 71* off 37 balls against KKR. Tripathi&#8217;s knocks pushed the confidence of the middle-order to chase down the totals in a consistent manner.
In the penultimate game against Mumbai Indians (MI), Tripathi hit his season&#8217;s best score of 76 runs in 44 balls to help SRH get a much-needed win after five losses on the trot. In 14 matches, he finished with 413 runs at a strike rate of 158.23 and returned as the second most run-getter for SRH.
<h3>2. Abhishek Sharma</h3>

Ahead of this season, Abhishek Sharma was not able to convert his starts into a big inning and often displayed his skills in bits and pieces. With knowledge of his skills, multiple franchises bid for him, but it was the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/srh-sunrisers-hyderabad/">Sunrisers</a> who bought him back for INR 6.25 crore.
The southpaw started the season with nine off 19 balls and had an average outing with 13 off 11 balls in the subsequent match. However, his best knock of 75 off 50 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) helped him to get the momentum for himself and the team as well.
Thereafter, he kept delivering hefty knocks in the tournament which helped SRH get off to terrific starts and win the matches. In 14 matches, Sharma amassed 426 runs at a strike rate of 133.12. Certainly, he did justice to his talent this season.

The Indore-born batter, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/thank-you-for-believing-me-rajat-patidar-expressed-gratitude-to-virat-kohli-after-century-against-lsg/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rajat Patidar</a> was brought in as a replacement player by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the injured Luvnith Sisodia. In his first game, he scored 16 but was terrific to hit 52 in the following game, and thereby cemented his place for the remaining games of the season.
The 28-year-old stabilized the innings and accelerated the run rate and displayed maturity as the season progressed. It was a whirlwind knock of 112* off 54 balls in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), which left a terrific impact to take the team to the next stage.
In Qualifier 2, Patidar was the top scorer for the team with 58 off 42 balls and ended the tournament on a high. In eight innings, the stylish batter garnered a total of 333 runs.
<h3>4. Dewald Brevis</h3>

Dewald Brevis came with a reputation as a solid batter and useful bowler, after his impressive performance for South Africa in the U19 World Cup. As a young player, his confidence was there for everyone to see, as he hit a quickfire 29 in his first fixture for <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/mi-mumbai-indians/">Mumbai Indians</a> (MI) against KKR. In a terrific knock of 49 off 25 balls game against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Brevis also hit 28 runs in a single over off Rahul Chahar.
He followed it up with a knock of 31 off 13 balls against Super Giants, albeit in a losing cause. After two single-digit knocks, he was brought into the Playing XI in the last league match against Delhi Capitals (DC) and hit 37 off 33 balls, which displayed his composure and talent in crunch moments.
In seven matches, the young gun garnered 161 runs at a strike rate of 142.48. With the ball, he delivered a single over and took a wicket. Certainly, he will be one of the overseas players to watch out for in the tournament in the years to come.

The top-order MI batter, Tilak Varma had displayed his talent in the domestic cricket for Hyderabad. Looking at his talent, Mumbai snapped him up for the 2022 season. From the first fixture itself, Tilak exuded confidence to the other team members.
Whenever MI&#8217;s top order failed to perform, he steered the team with his composure and accelerated in the latter half of his innings. The southpaw emerged as the second top scorer for the Mumbai team with a knock of 61 in one of the fixtures against the Royals, which helped him to gain further momentum.
His knocks of 30-40 runs and partnerships with <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/weve-to-lift-the-sixth-trophy-anyhow-suryakumar-yadav-determined-to-take-mi-to-glory-in-ipl-2023/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Suryakumar Yadav</a> were impressive to help the team in posting a respectable total on the board. In 14 matches, Tilak finished with 397 runs at a strike rate of 131.02.
<h3>6. Rinku Singh</h3>

Rinku Singh was one of the consistent run-scorers for the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/t20/ipl-indian-premier-league/kkr-kolkata-knight-riders/">KKR</a> team in the second half of the season. His contribution often helped the team in stitching the partnerships, which left an impact on the outcome of the match.
Rinku&#8217;s first notable contribution, an unbeaten 42, came against the Royals which paved the way for the team to win the match and stay alive in the tournament. Although he was dismissed for single-digit scores in a couple of matches, the team management trusted his ability to win matches for the team. In the team&#8217;s last league match against Lucknow Super Giants, Rinku was terrific with his hitting capabilities scoring 40 off 15 balls, comprising two fours and four sixes which brought the team close to winning the game.
Going forward in the next season, the management has given a hint on making Rinku a regular number six for the team. It will be interesting to see how the left-handed batter from UP can make it big in the IPL.
