The most successful captain for India, and the most consistent captain in the league, MS Dhoni has led CSK to 3 title wins. He was retained by CSK before the mega auctions in 2018 for a price of 15 crore.

The Jharkhand-born Dhoni joined CSK in 2008. He was also a part of RPS from 2016 to 2017. Besides winning 3 times, CSK under Dhoni has always reached the semi-finals/playoffs, and have played 8 finals.

MS Dhoni retired from international cricket on 15th August, 2020. He will be seen in competitive cricket for the first time post India’s WC semi-final exit. Needless to say, Dhoni is expected to do a great job this time around as well. He has a strong spin attack and an experienced batting lineup, which would be handy in the pitches of UAE.
