Irfan Pathan was in news recently as he led Baroda to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final against Uttar Pradesh. He has been in phenomenal form of late after he scalped 17 wickets to be the leading wicket-taker of the tournament and also went on to score 200 runs in 10 matches.

Following the footsteps of his Indian counterparts, Harbhajan Singh and Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan just a short while ago got married to Jeddah based Safa Baig in a low-key ceremony. Irfan announced his wedding on Twitter by describing it as the most beautiful phase of his life along with a picture of the couple. He also thanked all his fans for the good wishes he received.

Former India teammate Mohammed Kaif expressed surprise over the news of Irfan’s wedding. Though he wished the couple, Kaif stated he didn’t expect this news to reach him through Twitter or rather social media.

However, Irfan’s innocent response made everyone burst into laughter. He politely replied to Kaif that the reason behind him not informing about the wedding was that Kaif didn’t answer his call.

Mohammad Kaif then promised to catch up with him soon along with their respective families. Here the conversation between Irfan Pathan and Kaif.
