As the squad for the limited overs international against England and Ireland were announced, Siddharth Kaul was delighted to find his name amongst the probables. The right arm pacer was rewarded for his performances in the domestic circuit as well as the ongoing IPL.

He was also a part of the squad during the Sri Lanka series. However, he didn’t get to play a game then. This time around, it’s highly likely that the 27-year old will be given a go. Kaul was glad on being on the flight to England and also spoke about his Sun Risers Hyderabad stint.

The conditions in Ireland and England will assist my bowling

Siddharth Kaul hopes to get a chance this time around. Delighted on being selected, Kaul asserted that playing for the country was a dream. He further remarked that the conditions in England and Ireland may suit his bowling.

“I have experienced this before. It feels good to be rewarded. Every cricketer wants to play for the country. Playing in Ireland and England would be a great opportunity. God has been kind and blessed me with so much. The conditions in Ireland and England will assist my bowling. We grew up in a cricket environment to play for India one day. Cricket has been our life. I hope this time I am able to do it and not just sit on the bench,”

Tom Moody and Kane Williamson have helped in bringing the best out of me

The Sun Risers Hyderabad have been doing exceptionally well in this year’s IPL. The table toppers currently, a lot of credit also goes to the way they’ve bowled. Siddharth Kaul has been the highest wicket-taker for them with 13 wickets at the moment. He described the Sun Risers stint as a life-changing experience.

“Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad this season has been life-changing. I have felt very confident and in control. The kind of faith my coach Tom Moody and skipper Kane Williamson have shown me and backed me helped bring out the best in me. I share a great rapport with Kane since we played in the U-19 World Cup in 2008. His captaincy brought the best in me. And all my plans were successfully executed.”
