Pakistan off spinner Saeed Ajmal bade farewell to the game. His 22 years old journey ended as Faislabad were defeated by the Lahore Whites in the semi finals of National T20 Cup. Earlier, Ajmal reckoned that he will hang his boots after honouring his duties for Faisalabad in the tournament.

However, he expressed his grievances with the Pakistan Cricket Board while addressing the press conference. He wasn’t satisfied with the way the Pakistan Cricket Board dealt with the International Cricket Council during his suspension from bowling.

PCB did not fight my case well

While Saeed Ajmal ensured that PCB had been supportive for him, he accused them of not having fought his case well. Ajmal was banned from bowing after his arm was found to bending over the legal limit of fifteen degrees permitted by the ICC.

“PCB helped me in my career; but I am sorry to say that they did not fight my case well with the ICC when they suspended me,” Ajmal said while addressing a press conference.

He further told that the PCB should raise the matter with ICC regarding bowling actions. Stressing at the dearth of off spinners in the Pakistan team, Ajmal asked them to raise the issue. The off spinner managed to impress in his last game as well. Bowling his quota of four overs, Ajmal has stupendous figures of 1/13. He was given a guard of honour by both the teams after the match got over

With tears in his eyes, the off spinner with more than 400 international wickets called it a day. He wrapped up the press conference by thanking all his close ones for supporting him. “I thank the PCB, my Club and the Faisalabad region for their support and encouragement throughout my career,” Ajmal said as per the quotes on Dawn.
