Schedule for Legends League Cricket Season 2 announced, six venues to host the tournament

The complete schedule and locations for the forthcoming second edition of the Legends League Cricket competition were released by the tournament’s organizers on Tuesday. Six cities are slated to host games this season, with Kolkata, New Delhi, Cuttack, Lucknow, and Jodhpur being five of them. The location of the playoffs has not yet been revealed.

Three games will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from September 16 to September 18, including a special game between the India Maharajas and the World Giants to celebrate India’s 75th anniversary of independence. Except for Jodhpur and Lucknow, which are set to host two games, each of the other stadiums will host three matches.

“The wait is over for our fans and viewers. They can plan for the matches with the announcement of fixtures. We are soon announcing our ticketing partner along with the dates for the availability of tickets online.  With the lineup of iconic players from the 10 nations in a new format, I am sure fans will experience powerful performances on the pitch and a great season this year,” Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO, Legends League Cricket, was quoted by NDTV.

The tournament is set to begin on September 17 and will go on till October 8 with the finale being scheduled for that date. Some of the finest former cricketers like Dale Steyn, Ashok Dinda, Gautam Gambhir, Albie Morkel, Jonty Rhodes, Eoin Morgan, Irfan Pathan, Jacques Kallis, and Muttiah Muralitharan, to name a few among many others will be participating in the tournament while Sourav Ganguly will be playing only the special match.

“We are not getting any players from Pakistan for the upcoming season. We will soon be adding some more international players to the Draft. And all our Legends would be playing a full season with us and not miss any matches for any other League or commitment. For the final match of this season we are looking at Dehradun,” he added.

“We are coming to mesmerize the cricketing fans at these wonderful cricket grounds. This festival season we will be presenting the cricket carnival with Top Legends competing for the first Legends League Cricket Title,” said LLC Commissioner Ravi Shastri.
