The COVID-19 pandemic has put the cricketers in trouble. The players who weren’t getting much time from their busy schedules have been forced to sit at home with family with nothing much to do. While many are spending time with their family and staying in touch with their teammates through Instagram Live sessions, few are trying out new things during the lockdown.
Yuzvendra Chahal and David Warner belong the latter category thanks to the video-sharing social networking service and entertainment app TikTok. The duo has come up with some hilarious videos which are being loved by the fans. Interestingly, their family is also making their presence felt in some of them with the India leg-spinner trending on most of the occasions.
However, of late, Warner has climbed up the charts trying out new things including the Tollywood and Bollywood songs especially to keep the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) fans engaged. He also hilariously tried to imitate the famous song Despacito’s music which went viral as well. This is the same reason, India opener and former SRH player Shikhar Dhawan has picked the Australia opener as the better TikToker ahead of Chahal.
In an Instagram Live session with Irfan Pathan on Wednesday, Dhawan lauded his former IPL teammate for coming up out of the box videos for the fans. “Warner’s creativity is better as he is coming out of his culture and doing videos in Tollywood and Bollywood,” he said with a smile on his face.
David Warner’s latest TikTok heroics
It all started with David Warner tapping his feet on the popular Bollywood number ‘Sheila ki Jawani’ with his daughters in two separate videos. And then it was time for the most surprising one which left everyone stumped. He and his wife Candice danced on Allu Arjun’s latest movie Ala Vaikunthapuramaloo song Buttabomma with even the Stylish star applauding the cricketer’s efforts.
To follow up with it, David Warner recited a famous dialogue Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster movie Pokiri. It was so perfectly done that the movie’s director Puri Jagannadh asked him to play a cameo in one of his future films.
