Smriti Mandhana's cheeky response to fan's 'Love or Arranged marriage' query leaves netizens impressed

England team this time were the sufferers as the Women in Blue beat their counterpart by four wickets to earn a consolation victory in the third ODI. The architects of the victory were Mithali and Mandhana. While the former remained unbeaten on 75, the latter missed her well-deserved half-century by just one run and brought the hot streak of scoring 10 consecutive 50 plus scores while chasing to an end.

While both the players have a lot of fans off the field, it is Mandhana, who in this regard has pipped her skipper by gaining over 4 million followers on Instagram. Bursting onto the scene in 2014, the elegant southpaw has garnered a lot of fans by playing an attacking brand of cricket and also slaying by her looks.

The 24-year-old is again in the news due to her old tweet trending on social media. Last year during the COVID-19 infused break, Mandhana conducted an interactive session with fans, which gained a lot of popularity as the fans flooded her with questions ranging from cricket to fashion. One of them asked her to choose between arrange or love marriage.

Smriti Mandhana and India focus attention on T20Is

The much-needed victory in the third ODI has given India two points in the multi-format series, which takes them to six points. England are currently sitting pretty with eight points. India can still win the multi-format-based points system by winning the T20I series which starts on July 9. Mandhana, who had mixed outings in the ODI series, will look to bounce back in style in the shortest format.

Apart from the southpaw, T20I skipper Kaur too needs some runs under her belt as she is enduring a poor run of form. The last ODI victory will give India tje much-needed momentum going ahead.
