Pat Cummins, who was fervently bought at a whopping price of INR 15.5 Crores, has so far been a reasonable buy for KKR in recent times. The Australian pacer at present from his 21 games has scalped 21 wickets at an economy of around 8. Now by considering Cummins’s stature as an international pacer and also his monumental price tag, surely the Australian speedster has underperformed which eventually makes him expect a cheaper buyback rather than retention in the next season.

Kuldeep Yadav was mainly retained as an X factor spinner in IPL 2019 that too for INR 5.8 Crores and perhaps has been KKR’s biggest bench warmer in the last few seasons. Since IPL 2019, the chinaman bowler has only played 14 games for KKR and has scarcely scalped mere 5 wickets for the team. Overall, Kuldeep’s inferiority has led to the rise of other admirable spin prospects like Varun Chakravarthy, who apparently might find possible retention than him.

Also, regardless of Sunil Narine being past his prime years, the KKR management still continues to resist him in their playing XI. But his stupendous price tag of over INR 12 Crores soon might propel the management to either discard him or fetch him at a cheaper option. Despite being done from his glory days, yet Sunil Narine possesses enough reasons for a buyback but his current lofty value surely looks to get him discontinued.
