India has locked horns with New Zealand for the crucial encounter of the T20 World Cup 2021. After having won the toss, Kane Williamson decided to bowl first at the Dubai International Stadium. The Kiwis, however, dominated the proceedings with the ball. Analyzing the match situation, the former England cricketer Michael Vaughan has come up with a Tweet to take a slight dig at India’s batting.
Winning this match is pivotal for both sides. However, India’s batting lineup experienced a collapse. The team lost their openers early on and the top order couldn’t make any great contributions with the bat. India played Ishan Kishan and Shardul Thakur in place of Suryakumar Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, but that quite didn’t make a great difference to the side when it came to batting. The Virat Kohli-led sidecould only score 110 from their 20 overs.
Taking into account India’s dismaying show with the bat, Vaughan took it to his official Twitter account to express his opinions on the same. He wrote: “India are playing 2010 Cricket. The game has moved on .. #T20WorldCup.”

Twitter users react to Michael Vaughan’s Tweet
India’s batting struggled in their opening fixture against Pakistan as well. The team lost frequent wickets as the Men in Green dominated the game. However, a half-century by skipper Virat Kohli and a quick cameo by Rishabh Pant enabled the team to put a competitive total on board.
In the game against the Black Caps, the scripts quite did not change. New Zealand’s bowlers wreaked havoc as India managed 110 runs. Trent Boult picked up three wickets in the match and was quite economical with the ball. As India was unable to bring a shift in their fortune, the cricket-onlookers expressed their disappointment. They replied to Vaughan’s Tweet in numbers.
Here are some of the replies:
Let’s be real, we can’t go around slogging when we’re 4 down. Wickets at constant intervals have troubled us. Not a single batter has got going. It’s not about the style, we’re ranked number 2 in the world with that style and have beaten the #1 side comfortably with it

That was rude, let's call it a bad day for Indians. They need to start playing bilateral series with Pakistan and all other top teams in that too outside India. This world cup is gone for India #INDvNZ

This year's T20 World Cup in UAE is the most predictable tournament of all time.
1. Win the toss
2. Bat second (95% success)
3. Win the match
4. Repeat— 🌻 (@KuntasticAguero) October 31, 2021
Vaughan is super active on Twitter and never shies away from putting forward his thoughts on the game. Earlier, he expressed his opinions on the way India has carried itself in the mega event. He had tweeted: “India could be on the way out of this #T20WorldCup .. the mindset & approach with all that talent so far has been so wrong #India.”
