Zulqarnain Haider, the former Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman, said that cricketers like Umar Akmal, who bring shame to the sport, should be given a life ban.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) handed the 29-year-old Akmal a three-year suspension after he was charged for breaching Article 2.4.4 of PCB’s Anti-Corruption Code.
Back in February, he was provisionally suspended and was barred from playing in the 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Jamaica Tallawahs clarify Ramnaresh Sarwan had nothing to do in franchise releasing Chris Gayle
The West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle recently had made some serious allegations on his former teammates Ramnaresh Sarwan in a Youtube video.
He had termed the latter as worse than Coronavirus and had also claimed that Sarwan was the reason that the Jamaica Tallawahs released him ahead of the 2020 season of the Caribbean Premier League.
However, the franchise has come up with a statement now clarifying that Sarwan, who is also the assistant coach of the Jamaica based team, had nothing to do with the decision

ICC bans Deepak Agarwal who approached Shakib Al Hasan to fix matches for two years
International Cricket Council (ICC) handed Deepak Agarwal, one of the team owners of the T10 League franchise Sindhis, with a ban of two-years after he accepted one charge for breaching the Anti-Corruption Code.
Also, he was given a suspended sentence of six months out of the overall ban for providing substantial assistance to ACU (Anti-Corruption Unit)
The name of T10 team owner came into the spotlight after Shakib Al Hasan was handed with a ban of two years from ICC for breaching Anit-Corruption Code.
