The 18-year old came good in the second over when he trapped Sri Lankan opener Kamil Mishra in front of the stumps to scalp his maiden wicket for India. Soon after Arjun’s maiden wicket, fans took to twitter to tweet on Arjun’s achievement.

Arjun Tendulkar has his first wicket, Kamil Mishara lbw. Sri Lanka 20/1 (3). Tendulkar getting some good movement with the new ball, left-arm medium-fast, but that one that dismissed Mishara took the inside of the pad

That's a wonderful exhibition of swing bowling in an opening burst of 5-1-18-1 from Arjun Tendulkar. Just as his father @sachin_rt used to torment opposition bowlers by hitting them through covers on the up, Arjun seems to pitch the new ball up and swing it on a fuller length too

The left arm pacer went to Sri Lanka as the leader of the pace attack. The six foot tall player met the expectations and delivered a good performance on the field. Arjun is more than just a pacer as he provides flexibility in the batting order. He is capable of batting at any position in the line up.
Arjun has been fortunate enough to have had the experience of bowling to some top international stars. He is a regular net bowler at Lord’s nets. During one of the practice sessions, the very first delivery that he bowled to Jonny Bairstow was a toe-crushing yorker which sent the batsman hobbling out of the ground. The pacer will be hoping to maintain his good form and deliver again in the upcoming matches.
