A total of 10 teams will be competing at the World Cup to be played in England later this month. The tournament will commence on May 30 and will culminate at the Lord’s on July 14. The format of the competition is different this year as each team will play nine matches facing every other team in the tournament. It will also be a battle between the Asian and non-Asian teams in another way.

Five Asian teams will be competing in the quadrennial event and India will carry most of the hopes from these 5 teams. But considering any of the other four teams an underdog will be a mistake. There are numerous players in these teams, who have the ability to turn the game around on their day.

Here we bring you the best combined Asian XI of the upcoming World Cup:

Rohit Sharma (India)

Rohit Sharma enjoys an edge over Imam-ul-Haq, Tamim Iqbal and others due to his huge experience and far better consistency. Rohit has been 2nd in the list of top batsmen in the world, just behind his fellow mate Virat Kohli. He has enjoyed a pretty good form in international cricket and the IPL.

Another factor which puts him ahead of others is his vast experience. He can be an innings builder when required and knows when he has to accelerate very well. He is also a good tactician and can help Virat if required. Rohit has some amazing numbers while opening the innings and can change the complexion quickly.
