The first T20 international of the Zimbabwe v India series presented India with somewhat of a reality check. Having conceded the match by the thinnest of margins, the Indians will be looking for redemption as well as a series leveler. Five Indian players were handed debuts in the opening match. However, this time, around, MS Dhoni and the Indian team management will look to bring back the regular names in the bowling lineup.

In spite of scoring a magnificent half-century in the third and final ODI of the series, Faiz Fazal was left out rather surprisingly in the first T20I. In spite of not playing the IPL, Fazal is a player par excellence. The 30-year old is also highly capable of scoring runs freely apart from the fact that he is perhaps the only left-handed batsman in the side at the moment.
