Zimbabwe v India 2nd T20I: Possible India playing XI

The first T20 international of the Zimbabwe v India series presented India with somewhat of a reality check. Having conceded the match by the thinnest of margins, the Indians will be looking for redemption as well as a series leveler. Five Indian players were handed debuts in the opening match. However, this time, around, MS Dhoni and the Indian team management will look to bring back the regular names in the bowling lineup. In spite of not playing the IPL, Fazal is a player par excellence. The 30-year old is also highly capable of scoring runs freely apart from the fact that he is perhaps the only left-handed batsman in the side at the moment. Rahul smashed 196 runs in the ODI series and concluded as the best player for the Indians in the series. It is highly unlikely that he is left out of the squad. Mandeep Singh: Mandeep Singh. (Photo Source: BCCI) Having opened the batting with KL Rahul in the first T20 international, Mandeep Singh showed the cricketing world exactly what he was made of. He smashed 31 in his debut match. Considering the nerves Mandeep deserves another chance to improve from the previous game. Ambati Rayudu: India batsman Ambati Rayudu. The 30-year olds’ performance in the ODI series is perhaps enough to justify his place in the starting lineup. He is one of the players who automatically picks himself in the starting lineup. Manish Pandey: Manish Pandey. (Photo Source: Getty Images) Manish Pandey was the star of the show for the Indians in the first T20 international after smashing a well-compiled 48. Having international experience apart from featuring in the World T20 earlier this year, Pandey is a senior member of the side, naturally making him an automatic selection in the side. However, being the skipper of the side, Dhoni will be looking to marshal his troops in order to secure a victory and subsequently square the series. Axar Patel: India bowler Axar Patel. His ability to slow the run rate rather significantly as well as his ability to bat lower down the order is an added bonus. He failed to finish things for India in the last game but is a good pinch hitter to have in the lineup along with his bowling prowess. Yuzvendra Chahal: Yuzvendra Chahal. (Photo Source: BCCI) In spite of being smashed all over the park in the first T20, it is highly expected that Chahal will feature in the second T20 international. Being the only leg-spinner, its a reare possibility that he is left out of the side. Chahal though would want to improve from the previous game and strike in the middle overs. However, with Jaydev Unadkat and Rishi Dhawan performing below the standard, it is highly likely that Sran makes his way back into the side. Kulkarni can swing the new ball and that has troubled the Zimbabwe batsmen during the tour. Jasprit Bumrah: India bowler Jasprit Bhumra. Skipper MS Dhoni used Bumrah as a first change bowler in the last match and he struck instantly. Though the youngster would want to be a little more sharp in the second spell as he went for 14 in his last over.
