Australia and Zimbabwe will be facing for the first time in this tri-series as the hosts would be eyeing to make an upset after being thrashed by Pakistan. The Men in Yellow, on the other hand, are suddenly flying high after a resounding victory over the World number 1 ranked side in the format on Monday. They will be keen on building the momentum on this performance and continue in the same vein. However, the troubled home side will seek an inspiration from somewhere to put up an improved show.

Hamilton Masakadza has to lead from the front no doubt as they are thin on experience in this series. They did well with the ball against Pakistan and should be confident of tying the Aussie batsmen as well. Aaron Finch himself is in scintillating touch and is fresh off an unbeaten 68-run knock. He will hope that his troops put up a complete performance much like they did in their opening game and put one step towards playing the final.

Pitch and Conditions

The weather in Harare has been excellent in the last couple of days and expect the same for this encounter as well. The pitch has held together well so far and there is no denying the fact that this will be a good batting wicket again. Though there are also chances that it might turn a bit with a hint of bounce which was extracted by Billy Stanlake.

Team Combination

Zimbabwe

The home side is in a desperate position and they will make a few changes in order to match the class of the Aussies. Kyle Jarvis was the best bowler for them in the first game but an injury to him should make things tough for them. Chris Mpofu should replace him as Malcolm Waller should also be back after being left out of the playing XI surprisingly.

The batting line-up though looks good with a little bit of experience to bank on as well. But they will need the support from their bowlers who lost their lines in the death overs against Pakistan.

Probable XI: Soloman Mire, Chamu Chibhabha, Hamilton Masakadza (c), Tarisai Musakanda, Peter Moor (wk), Elton Chigumbura, Malcolm Waller, Tendai Chisoro, Blessing Muzarabani, John Nyumbu, Chris Mpofu

Australia

The team has finally won after the disaster in England and there is no chance they would think of changing the line-up. Aaron Finch is in excellent touch with the bat as D’Arcy Short looked like regaining his lost touch. The likes of Glenn Maxwell and Travis Head bolster the middle-order as the visitors are strong on the bowling front as well. Billy Stanlake will be looking to run through the line-up of the opposition again with Ashton Agar being the lone spinner in the team.

Marcus Stoinis continues to be the preferred all-rounder in the team and Andrew Tye was amongst the wickets as he returned to his favoured format. But he would love to be economical during his four overs in this match.

Probable XI: Aaron Finch (c), D’Arcy Short, Nic Maddinson, Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey (wk), Marcus Stoinis, Ashton Agar, Andrew Tye, Jhye Richardson, Billy Stanlake

Aaron Finch (Australia) | Hamilton Masakadza (Zimbabwe)
