Jacques Kallis
The legendary South African all-rounder made his IPL debut for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against Kolkata Knight Riders in the very first match of the inaugural IPL. He played for RCB for a few more seasons before moving to the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Kallis played some memorable knocks for the Knights while also chipping in with wickets in the hour of need.
After the Knights won the IPL 2014, Kallis decided to hang his boots. His franchise, however, was in no mood to let him rest, as they gave him the mentoring role for the forthcoming seasons of the league. The 43-year-old experienced campaigner is still a part of the KKR support staff and has done an excellent job for the Men in Gold and Purple.
