Lasith Malinga
The flamboyant Sri Lankan pacer with a unique action has been associated with the Mumbai Indians from the second edition of IPL. He has bamboozled batsmen, and unsurprisingly so, on numerous occasions with the blue and gold on. With age, he seems to have lost a considerable amount of sting in his bowling, but then he can still pass on his skills to the youngsters.
Malinga, after playing for MI for nine seasons, was given the role of bowling mentor by the same team in the eleventh season of IPL. He did his duties really well, as can be proved by looking at the stats of Jasprit Bumrah and Mustafizur Rahman in the tournament. Now in the upcoming edition of the league, the 35-year-old, in a first, is set to make a comeback as a player.
