The all-rounder has been a valuable gem for his side as he has always plied his trade according to the needs of Pakistan cricket. He burst into the scene as a decent lower order batsman who can bowl a bit of off-spin but quickly raised through the ranks as the side was struggling with contributions at the top. Till now he has played 417 games in which he has scored 12,000 runs and scalped 216 wickets and the numbers are really praiseworthy.

Shoaib Malik was never treated well by the PCB and they also banned him for a year citing his negative influence on the side. Malik is a fighting cricketer, as he always looks for opportunities to show his class and currently he is serving the role of No.4 in Pakistan team. Malik is a dangerous player on true wickets and that’s why he would have been a great addition to the Indian set-up.

The cricketer has a special bond with India as his better-half is from this country, and professionally also he loved to play against the Men in Blue, as he has scored 1,800 runs in just 41 ODI games. Apart from Yuvraj Singh, India never had an all-rounder who can bat at top of the order. If Malik would have played for India, the team would have won many overseas matches, as he provides a great balance to the side. Malik possesses exceptional finishing skills and the partnership of MS Dhoni-Shoaib Malik would have been a treat to watch.
