4. Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Mujeeb Ur Rahman made his debut in IPL 2018 for Punjab Kings (PBKS), and by taking 14 wickets in 11 games at an excellent economy rate of 6.99, he made his first season successful. The off-spinner after 2018, played two more editions for the Kings but couldn’t repeat his debut performance again.

In 2021, he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the mini-auction but with Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi both being a part of the squad, Mujeeb could play only one game. In the mega auction of the 2022 IPL, the Afghan bowler didn’t get any buyers but the same could not be the case in the 2023 IPL mini-auction.

Mujeeb, playing for his national team Afghanistan, has notched up 49 wickets in 36 T20I games at a brilliant economy of 6.22 and an average of 17.02. Considering these numbers of the off-spinner in international T20Is, some franchises could show interest in him at the 2023 auction. In the current scenario, Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) don’t have an extra spinner with international experience, and to fill that void, these two franchises might go for him at the auction.
