2. Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa in the last auction of the IPL went unsold despite becoming the second leading wicket-taker in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 with 13 wickets in just 7 games. In the Indian Premier League, he first appeared in 2016 by playing for Rising Pune Super Giants (RPSG). With six wickets against SRH in his debut season, the Aussie bowler grabbed the attention towards himself.

But playing for the same team again in 2017, Zampa looked ineffective and in 2020, Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) invested in him to reinforce the bowling line-up of the team but he by getting only two wickets in three matches at an expensive economy rate of 8.36 disappointed both the team management and RCB fans.

Unlike the last auction, Zampa could be one of the most sought-after figures at the upcoming mini-auction after delivering consistent performances in international T20I events. In the recent T20 World Cup 2022 also, he along with Josh Hazlewood was the most successful bowler for Australia with five wickets in three games at a spectacular economy rate of 6.66. Noticing his back-to-back hit shows with the ball in T20 World Cups, Zampa might bound franchises to have a bidding battle on the auction table.
