New Zealand thrashed Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, 29th October, to solidify their position at the top of the table in Group 1. The victory was set up by Glenn Phillip's marvelous ton, and Trent Boult ensured the Kiwi's triumph with a sensational spell of fast bowling. Boult's opening bowling exploits, along with Tim Southee is regarded as one of the best bowling partnerships in the world. After the duo's masterful performance, former Australian cricketer and coach Stuart Law revealed his best bowling partnerships of all time.

New Zealand's opening bowling pair of Tim Southee and Trent Boult have terrorized a fair few batting line-ups with their exceptional abilities with the new ball across all formats of the game. It was on show once again during New Zealand's Super 12 clash of the ongoing T20 World Cup against Sri Lanka, when Boult and Southee accounted for Sri Lanka's top four batters.

Stuart Law named some of his all-time favorite bowling duos in cricket

Boult, in particular, was in a menacing mood and ended with career-best T20I figures of 4/13 in his four overs. Boult's bowling partner Southee became the leading wicket-taker in T20Is during the match, overtaking Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan. While former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer hailed the Kiwi duo as one of the best bowling pairs, Stuart Law revealed some of his favorite bowling duos in the history of cricket.

"My bowling favorites, James Anderson and Stuart Broad are outstanding for what they do for England cricket in England. Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, I was lucky enough, well actually unlucky to play against them. But to see them go about their business in their prime was outstanding. Courtney Walsh and Curtley Abrose were pretty good as well," Stuart Law said on BatBricks7 presents 'Run ki Runneeti' on CricTracker.
