Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are on a roll in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) by winning all the 3 matches they’ve played so far. It is not that they are winning only on the home turf. The side got better of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday in their own den in front of the jam-packed crowd supporting the home side. The victory was absolutely comprehensive as once again their bowlers set it up for SRH. However, Wriddhiman Saha was delighted after the victory and also showered praises on their skipper Kane Williamson.

Eden Gardens is his home ground and the wicket-keeper was happy to play at home ground. He opened the innings and played fearlessly before getting out on 24. Though his knock was crucial in the context of the game given that the spinners strangled them in the middle overs. In the end, it was the patient half-century from Kane Williamson which won them the game and made it a hat-trick of victories for them.

He always listens to everyone

Wriddhiman Saha was happy about coming back to his home ground in Kolkata but also admitted that Hyderabad will remain his home turf while playing in the IPL. “My home ground is Uppal now. But obviously KKR is a strong team and it feels good to do well here,” he said while addressing the media after the game. He was also upbeat about the team’s performance in the last three games cleared the way they are approaching every game this season.

“Our target is to go match by match, and we are looking in that direction only. I’ve been given a new role to open and asked to play with freedom. I’m trying that only. Overall it was a complete team performance, we did well in batting and bowling,” Saha added.

The 33-year-old was all praise of the skipper Kane Williamson and felt that he is doing a great job in the absence of David Warner. “He always listens to everyone. Asked all of us to give inputs. We are doing well as a team after David Warner. He’s doing a great job,” Saha concluded.
