A new captain, a new side, new match-winners, and a new season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have done quite well in IPL 2022 as of now. They have managed to register five wins in eight matches. RCB’s heartbeat Virat Kohli is having an issue with his form. Hopefully, we will see him making big scores once again. The men in red are expected to have a season to remember.

We have seen the vintage Dinesh Karthik this season. He has been fabulous throughout the games. The 36-year-old wicket-keeper batter has tried his best to fix RCB’s finishing woes. Faf du Plessis has also been in tremendous form since game one. RCB’s bowling has been decent but they surely need some improvements. With six games remaining in the league stage, let’s see if they can be the contenders to qualify for the playoffs.

We might see the Bangalore franchise making some changes to their playing XI in upcoming games. They have some great players warming the bench for them. They might add a handy all-rounder to the mix to balance their setup. RCB are yet to win the title in fifteen years, they have come close but unfortunately, they have been unable to finish. We will talk about three RCB 2022 players who have been benched but deserve an opportunity.

Virat Kohli’s U-19 World Cup teammate Siddharth Kaul is yet to play a game this season. Kaul is playing IPL right from the very first season. He is the guy with the experience and the one who can really deliver on the big stage. The 31-year-old pacer is a typical right-arm medium pacer who is a master of variation with pace. He knows how to win games for his team.

The Punjab pacer has played 54 IPL games and has a total of 58 wickets to his name. He is a wicket-taker which is a serious need for RCB as they sometimes struggle to take wickets in middle-overs. RCB can try playing him in a couple of matches. The addition of him will definitely empower the RCB bowling lineup.

The 31-year-old has earned the tag of death bowling specialist. He has a lethal knuckleball which is very tough to pick by the batters. The knuckleball is his favourite weapon alongside razor-sharp yorkers. He has done well in the past and is waiting for his chance in this season. Hopefully, we will see Siddharth bowling for RCB in the coming fixtures.
