Pakistan completed a series win against Zimbabwe after they took a winning lead of 2-0 in the 3-match ODI series with their 6-wicket win on Sunday. Zimbabwe, after electing to bat first, reached 120/3 in 25 overs before Iftikhar Ahmed’s 5-wicket haul caused a collapse. Zimbabwe eventually got bowled out for 206 despite a 70-ball 75 from Sean Williams. Pakistan wrapped up the chase in only 35.2 overs thanks to an unbeaten 74-ball 77 by their captain Babar Azam.

Here are all the statistical highlights from Pakistan’s 6-wicket win during the 2nd PAK vs ZIM ODI:

Pakistan keeps their streak intact:

13/14Pakistan now has won 13 of the 14 bilateral series they played against Zimbabwe till date. The 3-match ODI series hosted by Zimbabwe in 1995 ended in a draw with both the teams winning one game apiece.

8 – Pakistan has won each of their last eight ODI matches, a streak that began since losing to India in the 2019 World Cup. This is Pakistan’s 2nd longest winning streak in the ODI format since the beginning of 2009. Pakistan won nine successive ODI games in 2017 where they won Champions Trophy.

A big score for Babar while chasing:

77* – The unbeaten 77 during the 2nd PAK vs ZIM ODI is Babar Azam’s 2nd highest score during a successful ODI chase. The unbeaten hundred during the 2019 CWC against New Zealand is Babar’s highest score in a successful ODI chase.

Iftikhar delivers for Pakistan:

5/40 – Iftikhar Ahmed’s 5/40 in 2nd PAK vs ZIM ODI are the second-best bowling figures for a Pakistan spinner in a home ODI. Saqlain Mushtaq took 5/20 in the 2000 ODI against England also in Rawalpindi while Shahid Afridi also had figures of 5/40 during the 2000 Lahore ODI against England.

1 – Iftikhar Ahmed, during the 2nd PAK vs ZIM ODI, became the first Pakistan player with the treble of 5-wicket haul, 10+ runs and 1+ catches in a home ODI. Five players achieved the treble in ODIs for Pakistan before Iftikhar but all outside Pakistan only. Shahid Afridi is the only player to achieve this treble more than once for Pakistan.

2013 – The last Pakistan bowler before Iftikhar to pick a 5-wicket ODI haul while coming as 4th change or later was Shahid Afridi who bagged a 7-wicket haul during the 2013 Guyana ODI against West Indies.

End of Shaheen’s streaks:

0 – Shaheen Shah Afridi’s 3-match streak of picking up four and more wicket hauls in ODI cricket ended on Sunday where the left-arm pacer went wicketless. Shaheen could have been the first player in ODI history with four successive 4-fers had he picked at least four wickets on Sunday

18 – Shaheen Afridi picked up as many as 18 wickets across four matches before going wicketless during the 2nd PAK vs ZIM ODI. The 18 wickets by Shaheen are the most by any player in four consecutive ODIs. Afridi had a 3-fer, a 4-fer, a 5-fer and a 6-fer in those four matches.
