Shikhar Dhawan wishes captain, leader, legend MS Dhoni on his 37th birthday

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni turned 37 today and the world has turned up on social media to wish him. The #HappyBirthdayMSDhoni is the most trending topic in India on Twitter. From Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag to the younger lot Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar everyone from the cricketing fraternity shared a special message to signify what Dhoni means to them.

Indian left-hander Shikhar Dhawan who has been around the Indian cricketing circles for the same time as the wicketkeeper-batsman made his debut when he was the skipper. Dhoni entrusted him with the opening responsibility in all three formats of the game and Dhawan has since flourished into a reliable and imposing opener for Team India.

The Gabbar of the Indian team has a different level of respect for his Mahi bhai and it is quite evident from his tweet. He used an analogy similar to the man the myth the legend and wrote – “Captain. Leader. Legend.”

He shared a picture with the former skipper from one of their training sessions. They’re having fun and Dhoni is trying to stop the Jatt holding him from behind while bought of them have a big smile on their faces.

Dhawan termed Dhoni the greatest finisher ever in his wish. “The greatest finisher of all time! Wish you a very happy birthday Mahi bhai,” he tweeted.

Dhawan’s former Delhi team-mate Virender Sehwag like he always does wished the birthday boy in his own unique style. He posted a picture of Dhoni’s almost full stretch attempt to get back into the crease as the keeper is trying to stump him.
