TNPL 2023 Points Table
The Tamil Nadu Premier League will begin from June 12 with the opening game between Lyca Kovia Kings and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans. It will be the seventh season of Tamil Nadu’s premier T20 competition, which began in the year 2016. Chepauk Super Gillies are the most successful franchise of the tournament with four titles to their name while Tuti Patriots (now Salem Spartans), Madurai Super Giants and Lyca Kovai Kings are the other winners.
During the 2022 edition of the tournament, Nellai Royal Kings topped the TNPL points table while Chepauk Super Gillies finished on the second spot. Salem Spartans didn’t have a memorable season as they ended up finishing on the last spot (eighth) while Ba11sy Trichy finished on the second-last spot.
Both the bottom-finishing teams will look to put up an improved performance this year, while the top-ranked teams will have the pressure of maintaining their top spots. The upcoming season is expected to be an entertaining affair as all the eight teams have built a strong squad in the auction held in February.
