Emirates Cricket Board confirms receiving official clearance from BCCI to host IPL 2020
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially given the clearance of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to host the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Indian Government officially gave permission to the BCCI to shift the tournament outside the country due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
The ECB has also confirmed the same and the IPL is now safe and set to start on September 19.
IPL 2020: Travel dates for most of the teams finalised; CSK eyeing short camp in India
The preparations for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have begun in full flow with the government officially granting permission to the BCCI.
The final schedule is yet to be released but the travel dates of most of the franchises are finalised.
All the sides are expected to be in the United Arab Emirates by August 22 or 23, almost a month before the tournament begins.

Former Pakistan speedster, Shoaib Akhtar has recalled the time when he left an everlasting impression on Gary Kirsten in 1994.
During a net session on South Africa’s tour of Pakistan for an ODI tri-series, Akhtar was invited to bowl in the nets, and he stunned everyone with his class bowling.
As Rawanpindi Express recalls, Kirsten was ready to vouch for young Akhtar to be placed in national side of Pakistan post this net session.
England pacer Stuart Broad fined for breaching ICC Code of Conduct
Broad was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match.”
Broad’s previous breaches were on 27 January this year during the fourth Test against South Africa at the Wanderers.
And on 19 August 2018 in the third Test against India at Trent Bridge.
Faf du Plessis, Lungi Ngidi and many other overseas stars to join the CSK squad late in UAE
Of all the teams contesting for IPL, it can be seen that CSK is going to have a hard time as their many players are set to join them late.
According to latest reports, CSK’s star batsman Faf du Plessis will set foot late in IPL as he is expecting his second child, he may not be seen before September.
Along with du Plessis, Lungi Ngidi may also be a latecomer.
