Team India will take the field on the final day of the ongoing third Test in Nottingham against England to pick only the last wicket of the opposition. The duo of Adil Rashid and James Anderson denied them the glory moment on the fourth day by playing out 34 deliveries and will look to continue playing the same way. Cricket is the game of uncertainties and they would be itching to keep the visitors out as much time as they can.

Meanwhile, soon after it was confirmed that the match will go into the fifth day, the official Twitter handle of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club (CCC) had shared the details of the ticket prices with the cricket fans. To everyone’s surprise, they had not reduced the prices when it was expected that they would keep a free entry as the match might last only a solitary ball on the final day.

They were widely criticised for their approach and there were also doubts about the refunds for those who had booked the tickets in advance. They had originally planned to charge £10 to those coming to see the action on the fifth day.

Great initiative

However, before the start of play, Nottinghamshire CCC have resurrected their mistake and have decided to open the gates for everyone to witness the historic moment of a possible Indian victory. Soon after the flak they changed their policy and accepted their mistake and worked on it straight away. Their official Twitter handle posted the message and felt that they got it wrong.

“We’ve slept on the day five pricing policy &, frankly, we got it wrong. All current ticket holders will be refunded & admission will be free on the gate with donations collected for charity. Gates open at 9 am and we’d love to welcome you for the conclusion of the game,” their statement on Twitter read.

The crowd is expected to come in as India will chase history and pull one back on the hosts by making it 2-1 in the series. The fourth Test between both the teams will commence on August 30 at Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
