BBL 2022-23 Schedule
The 12th edition of the Big Bash League commences on December 13, 2022, and the tournament goes on for almost two months, with the grand finale scheduled on February 4, 2023. The group stage of the league will witness 56 matches being played across several grounds across the country. It’ll be an exciting period for the fans as they get to see the big players from around the globe participating in the league.
Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars will lock horns in the curtain raiser on December 13, 2022, at the Manuka Oval. The past two editions of the tournament saw Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers making it to the summit clash and while the former emerged victorious in the tenth edition of the tournament, the latter enter the following season as the defending champions. Perth Scorchers will begin their title defense on December 17, 2022, against the previous year’s finalists Sydney Sixers. Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Thunder, Brisbane Heat, and Sydney Sixers are the eight teams involved in the tournament and will be competing to grab the coveted cup. All teams will be giving their best to emerge on top of the BBL points table, so as to make their way to the next stage.
The group stage of the tournament is scheduled between December 13, 2022, till January 25, 2023. During this period, only December 25 will be an off day owing to Christmas. Notably, on all other days between the aforementioned time period, there will be at least one BBL game happening. The Eliminator is scheduled for January 27, and the Knockout games will be played on January 28 and January 29 respectively. The Challenger is set to be played on February 2 before the Final on February 4.
